Attendance greatly exceeded expectations with accurate totals of 4540 during the day and 3605 in the evening registered.

Performers on the main stage included:

The days events were capped off by a headline performance from X Factor winner Leon Jackson.

Youth Beatz 2009 took place on Saturday 15^th August at Dock Park, Dumfries.  The free event was open from 1pm – 5pm and 7pm – 10pm.

The event was aimed at 12-25 year olds, providing youth services information, activity based entertainment and a dance/music concert.  A wide range of consultations with young people shaped the course of the day with requests for more large scale music events where young people could participate in a safe and friendly environment.

Youth Beatz 2009 was separated into 2 parts.  The afternoon was open from 1pm – 5pm and focussed on activity based entertainment and youth services information.  The evening was open from 7pm – 10pm and focussed on music from the main stage and dance tent.
